Your suggested route

The times below are suggested allowances, not live opening hours or transport schedules. Adjust the order for your arrival time, bookings and conditions.

  1. Day 1 · Morning · Travel to your Wulong base

    Travel from Chongqing using a suitable current rail or road connection and continue to accommodation convenient for the scenic areas. Confirm whether your hotel is in the town or near the visitor centre; these are different bases with different transfer needs.

  2. Day 1 · Afternoon · Three Natural Bridges

    After lunch, use the authorised visitor-centre transport and follow the open route through the Three Natural Bridges. Allow three to four hours including queues, lifts, walking and the exit transfer. The main experience is looking up from the gorge, not simply arriving at its entrance.

  3. Day 1 · Evening · Stay locally

    Have dinner near your accommodation and keep the evening quiet. Dry wet footwear if necessary and confirm tomorrow’s access. Staying overnight avoids turning the landscape into a long round trip with a rushed walk in the middle.

  4. Day 2 · Morning · Longshuixia or a gentler choice

    If steps, weather and access suit, visit Longshuixia Fissure Gorge with two to three hours for the designated route and transfers. Otherwise choose a gentler local outing recommended by your accommodation. Do not add Fairy Mountain merely to complete a three-attraction package.

  5. Day 2 · Afternoon · Lunch and onward travel

    Have lunch, collect luggage and return towards your departure station or Chongqing. Leave a substantial buffer for local transfers. A late flight should not depend on exiting the gorge at an exact minute.

Where to pause for food

Arrange a simple local lunch before the first scenic visit and dinner near your hotel. Carry water and a snack inside the scenic areas, checking where eating is permitted. Food options at the end of a route may not match those at its entrance.

Getting around

Confirm the exact railway station and onward connection, then use authorised scenic-area shuttles. Admission, lifts and transfers can be separate ticket components. Ask your hotel to explain the current route rather than following an old all-inclusive ticket description.

For a shorter day or different weather

If wet steps or mobility make gorge walking unsuitable, choose a viewpoint-focused outing with confirmed access. Keep day two flexible in poor weather. An organised day trip is possible for some visitors, but this overnight plan deliberately allows more comfortable pacing.

Before you go

Check current scenic-area access, shuttle operation and ticket inclusions. Expect uneven and potentially slippery surfaces. Do not interpret a lift at the entrance as a guarantee of a step-free route through the whole attraction.
