Your suggested route
The times below are suggested allowances, not live opening hours or transport schedules. Adjust the order for your arrival time, bookings and conditions.
Before day 1 · Fit equipment and check the meeting point
Collect rental equipment as early as your arrangements allow and confirm where your lesson starts. Perisher Valley and Smiggin Holes are not interchangeable meeting points. Sort boots, layers and passes before the morning rush so the first day is not spent troubleshooting at a counter.
Day 1 morning · A lesson, not a mountain tour
Book a beginner lesson if you are new to skiing or snowboarding. Allow the operator’s check-in buffer and focus on stopping, turning and lift use. Do not follow experienced friends onto terrain beyond your ability simply because the lesson finishes before lunch.
Day 1 afternoon · Repeat comfortable terrain
Eat on the mountain, rest, then practise the same suitable runs. Finish early enough to return equipment or make your transport without a last-minute rush. Dinner in Jindabyne and a quiet evening will do more for day two than forcing one extra tired run.
Day 2 · Build on what worked
Take another lesson or spend the morning consolidating familiar terrain. More experienced visitors can choose another open area based on conditions and the resort map. Have lunch, then stop with enough time for gear return and the journey home.
